April 2008 | $10.6M added to Earl Industries ship contract

Earl Industries LLC of Portsmouth was awarded a $10.6 million modification to a previously awarded contract for maintenance, repair and alterations of the Navy amphibious transport dock ship Ponce, the Defense Department announced Tuesday.

The work, which will be done at Earl?s Portsmouth shipyard, is expected to be completed by July.
