SAFETY INSPECTOR
  • Minimum 5 years experience in marine and industrial safety field.
  • Able to identify/locate shipboard spaces and various compartments.
  • Able to climb vertical shipboard ladders, perform confined space entry, pass respirator physical and fit test, identify and correct safety and environmental non-conforming conditions
  • Familiarity with OSHA and EPA Standards to include 29 CFR 1910, 1914, 1926 for OSHA standards and CFR 40 for environmental standards is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain Shipyard Competent Person (CP) license and Lead Competent Person; understand and be familiar with NESHAP and air emissions reporting is preferred.
  • Must have good oral and writing skills, be able to process safety and environmental reports, and maintain records using MS Word and Excel.
  • Must have good communication skills, able to communicate with co-workers, customers, subcontractors and trade personnel.
  • Able to conduct classroom safety and job-related training.
  • Must have a current driver’s license, reliable transportation and be insurable under Earl Industries’ policy.
  • Must be able to gain access to government facilities and pass required security clearances.
  • Must be willing to travel.

SHIPFITTER (1ST, 2ND or 3RD)
  • Minimum of 5 years shipfitting experience in a shipyard environment or onboard Naval vessels
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment
  • Able to work aboard vessels, climb ladders, work in tanks and confined spaces
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Must have own tools
  • Able to gain access to government facilities
  • Able to obtain a security clearance
  • Must be able and willing to travel
  • Must be available for overtime when needed
  • Must have reliable transportation and attendance

OUTSIDE MACHINIST
  • Must have 3 years experience as an Outside Machinist working on Navy vessels
  • An active security clearance is required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work aboard vessels, climb ladders, work in tanks and confined spaces
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment
  • Must be able to gain access to government facilities
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Must have reliable transportation and attendance

PIPE FITTER
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Marine Pipefitter in shipyards or on Navy vessels
  • Must have own tools
  • Must be able to gain access to government facilities
  • An active security clearance is required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work aboard marine vessels, climb ladders, work in tanks and confined spaces, and wear personal protective equipment
  • Must have reliable transportation and attendance
  • Must be able and willing to travel
  • Must be available for overtime when needed

PIPE WELDER
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Marine Pipewelder
  • Must be NICU & CUNI qualified
  • Must have own tools
  • Must be able to gain access to government facilities
  • An active security clearance is required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work aboard marine vessels, climb ladders, work in tanks and confined spaces, and wear personal protective equipment
  • Must have reliable transportation and attendance
  • Must be able and willing to travel
  • Must be available for overtime when needed

SHIPFITTER (2)
  • Minimum of 3 years shipfitting experience in a shipyard environment or onboard Naval vessels

MARINE WELDER
  • At least 3 years experience as a Marine Welder working aboard marine and Navy vessels
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Must be HY-80 qualified
  • Able to work aboard vessels, climb ladders, work in tanks and confined spaces
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment
  • Must have own tools
  • An active security clearance is required
  • Able to gain access to government facilities
  • Available to work overtime when needed
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Must have reliable transportation and attendance

SUBCONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR
  • Must have at least 2 years experience in subcontractor control and administration or related experience in a shipyard or industrial environment
  • Must be able to gain access to government installations
  • Experience with government-type contracts is preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation

CORPORATE CONTROLLER
The Controller is a hands-on position responsible for the functions of the Accounting department as well as for the communication to top management of all financial aspects of the Company.
Responsibilities:
  • Managing internal and external financial reporting requirements (including all DCAA reports and filings), monitoring of key performance indicators, compliance with internal accounting policies and external requirements under GAAP, Federal and State regulations, documentary support for monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements prepared under GAAP and management of department employees.
  • Working closely with IT at a peer level.
  • Facilitating annual audit and other periodic internal and external audits as needed.
  • Establishes or recommends cost control suggestions to management.
  • Actively monitor compliance with revenue recognition policies to ensure compliance with GAAP and proper reporting of revenues and related expenses. Integral in accounting for new acquisitions properly, and integrating systems and procedures into existing ones to ensure timely and accurate reporting and daily operations related to accounting.
  • This person will also interface with executives/senior management on a variety of issues including financial instruments and contracts, revenues, expenses and budgets.
  • The Controller must maintain a strong working knowledge of GAAP including FASB Pronouncements, federal state and local tax regulations, and employment and payroll issues.
Education/Skills/Experience:
  • Position requires a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Experience with Deltek’s Costpoint system preferred.
  • Experience with government contracting, FARS & DFARS preferred.
  • Revenue recognition experience preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and modeling skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel and a variety of financial applications required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

WELDING ENGINEER
  • Minimum five (5) years experience developing welding techniques, procedures, and applications of welding equipment related to problems involving fabrication of metals (experience in aluminum fabrication distortion control a plus), utilizing knowledge of production specifications, properties and characteristics of metals and metal alloys, and engineering principles.
  • Conducts research and development investigations to develop and test new fabrication processes and procedures; improve existing or develop new welding equipment; develop new or modify current welding methods, techniques, and procedures; discover new patterns of welding phenomena; or to correlate and substantiate hypotheses.
  • Prepares technical reports as result of research and development, and preventive maintenance investigations.
  • Establishes welding procedures to guide production and welding personnel relating to specification restrictions, material processes, pre-and post-heating requirements which involve use of complex alloys, unusual fabrication methods, welding of critical joints, and complex post-heating requirements.
  • Evaluates new developments in welding field for possible application to current welding problems or production processes.
  • Directs and coordinates technical personnel in performing inspections to ensure workers’ compliance with established welding procedures, restrictions, and standards; on testing welds for conformance with national code requirements; or testing welding personnel for certification.
  • Contacts personnel of other agencies, engineering personnel, or clients to exchange ideas, information, or offer technical advice concerning welding matters.
  • May perform experimental welding to evaluate new equipment, techniques, and materials.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
