Kenneth R. Cowen
Director of Information Technology
Mr. Cowen holds a Bachelor of Arts (Chemistry) degree from Duke University, and a Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering) degree and a Master of Science (Mechanical Engineering) degree from Old Dominion University. Mr. Cowen served as an active duty officer in the U.S. Navy, serving in operations and engineering billets onboard several aircraft carriers. After his service, Mr. Cowen worked for a local ship repair firm as the Planning Department Director and Mechanical Design Engineer. He joined Earl in 1995, and has since assumed the broad responsibilities of Director of Planning. He and his staff are responsible for estimating, preparation of proposals, planning, and scheduling all ship alteration and modernization projects.
