Brian E. Miller

Director, Precision Manufacturing Division

Mr. Brian Miller is a graduate of Belmont Technical College with a degree in Welding. He worked for six years at The Jonathan Corporation as a pipe welder/fitter before joining Earl Industries in 1990 as a Structural Foreman. Demonstrating outstanding organizational and leadership skills, Brian was promoted in 1995 to the position of Assistant Production Manager where he excelled in assisting with the rapid growth of the company. In 2001, he assumed leadership of the company’s Precision Manufacturing Division, responsible for three manufacturing facilities and a diverse manufacturing workforce capable of providing specialty metal products up to 150,000 pounds, CNC machining and aerospace parts processing.

Michael H. Barkan

Director, Sales and Marketing, Precision Manufacturing Division

Mr. Mike Barkan joined Earl Industries in 2005. He previously owned Allied Enterprises, Inc., which he operated for over 30 years. Mike applies his experience in marketing to commercial and government sectors to support Earl’s long-term strategic vision. His efforts are crucial in developing new commercial and government business programs, and in helping Earl’s Precision Manufacturing Division to maintain the highest service levels for its customer base. Mike has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Old Dominion University.

Jody McClintock

Production Manager

Mr. Jody McClintock began his manufacturing career in 1976, as an Inside Machinist Apprentice with Norfolk Naval Shipyard.  He subsequently advanced to positions in Planning and Nuclear Supervision. In 1981 Mr. McClintock joined the management team at Portsmouth Tool and Die, focusing on management of design and automaton services. He ultimately served as the company’s Vice President. Since Portsmouth Tool and Die was acquired by Earl Industries in 2003, Jody has continued to exercise broad management responsibilities including product design, estimating and customer service.

Chris Wells

Quality Assurance Manager

Mr. Chris Wells graduated from Virginia Military Institute in 2000 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked at Northrop Grumman Newport News as a Nuclear Test Engineer for 3 years before joining Earl Industries in 2003. Mr. Wells was initially the Quality Assurance Assistant Manager for Earl Precision Manufacturing, proving instrumental in the division attaining AS9100 Certification in 2008. In 2010, Chris was promoted to Quality Assurance Manager, responsible for ensuring that Earl Precision Manufacturing Division’s products continue to meet our customers’ high quality expectations.

Gary Dove

Program Manager

Mr. Gary Dove began his career in the field of Marine Construction Outfitting and Engineering. With over 25 years of experience, he advanced to positions in Research and Development, Program Management and Vice President of Operations for a major US marine outfitter. Mr. Dove was involved in new construction programs for the Navy’s Hospital Ships, T-AO Fleet Oilers, LPD-17 Class, T-AGS 60 Class and commercial construction programs for NYC Floating Detention Facility, The American Queen Riverboat and the Disney Cruise Ships. Mr. Dove joined Earl in 2005 as the Program Manager and team leader of Earl Precision Manufacturing’s custom containerization business.

Owen Thomas

Plant Operations Manager

Mr. Owen Thomas has vast experience in the valve maintenance and repair industry, and has held several managerial roles that range from mechanical to quality assurance positions. Owen joined Earl Industries in 1999. His work experience and management skills have been applied throughout the Earl Industries organization. He was promoted to General Foreman in 2001 and has been instrumental in the success of Earl’s precision aerospace machining operations.
